The Poetic Yesu

It's like I'm in an arena
A boxing arena to be precise
where cheers sound like thunder
Punches, hard like the truth
Strength, my determination
and pain my defeat

Oh yes! the truth hurts
Oh yes! the cheers are amazing
Yes indeed, the thunder sounds
so loud and scary
but the awful truth is
I haven't got the strength to
defeat pain

Suddenly
Lights go off in the arena
Silence take over
The game is rigged
Darkness eliminates the
light of day

Titles are robbed
Amateur boxers claim to be
world champions
Alot of hypocrites disguised
as supporters
They never praise us
but always criticize us

They call themselves
Wordsmiths
yet they lack the words
to describe how expectional
the Messiah is

They claim to be Postmen
yet they do not possess the people's
addresses to preach the gospel
The gospel of the second coming
the coming of the Messiah
The one to resurrect poetry
from the tomb

Some didn't believe in
the prophecy
That the second coming
of the Messiah
who would resurrect the art
was true
So they preferred Bars to sonnets.

SUNSHINE🌻 (By: Poet Dela)

Just like the Sunflower
The rays from her skin
pierces my eyes

Her smell is exactly
as that of the oil gotten
from the sunflower
Which boost my energy
and immunity

Her smile, as catchy
as a sunflower
Just like the sun
Her beauty scorches
so hard
Her clothes plays
the role of the Ozone layer

Yet still,
The rays from
her skin penetrates her
clothes so deep,
leaving holes as
though they were designs

Even though she shines
so bright as the Venus
Her sense of fashion
is very appealing to the eye
Her beautiful Kaba makes her
look as colourful as the rainbow

Even though she scorches
very hard like the sun does

The sight of her tears introduces
a very weird feeling
to my emotions
Not only do I get attracted to
that sweet smell she possess
But her sweat also turns me on

I get tempted to imagine her
with me any time I take a shower
Her voice sounds exactly like
the birds in the morning
I could pen down sonnets
all day about her

But I lack the appropriate
expressions to describe
her unique beauty

My ink would fail me if
I write a letter to her,
Her beauty is beyond
description and
doesn't call for writing of letters

Cos no amount of words
could be enough to express
how I feel about her

I just hope the wind blows
this piece to her room
Even though we belong to
two separate world.

Love.

SONNET 4 JYAMMIE🎈

Her personality deserves to be scribed in books
But unfortunately, the national library can't contain all works about her
Jyammie is an amazing  girl with an incredible look
Just wondering if beauty can be defined without referencing to her

Now I can stand on authority to say
The beautiful ones are already born
They might be hard to find I must say
In a quest to find them might Pierce your heart like thorns

Unto us a queen was born today
A daughter was given
A friend born in may
and prayers, heard in heaven

Happiness and joy came to stay,
Sadness, buried and gone
Yes Indeed! Jyammie was born, so give thanks!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GYAMFUAH

Love.

SHE WAS WRONG (By: Poet Dela)

She was wrong to choose
Money over her pride
and traded her dignity
over riches

She was wrong to have
sold the Lord's temple
out to wealthy and
pot belled landlords

She was wrong to have
washed her dirty clothes
at the sea
whilst she could
have used the river

She was wrong to have
disregarded feminism
and harboured the idea
of dependency

She was wrong to have
disrespected the rich
Ghanaian Culture
we hold in high esteem

Yes she was wrong
to have committed
all those atrocities
But wait
Who do we blame here?

Is it our dear country
which is rich in precious metals
yet rated underdeveloped
by these same white men
who once invaded our territories

Or we should play the blame game
with our selfish leaders who
only care about how heavy
their pockets are
even though we gave
them such authority

Do we put the blame on
our stressful and demanding
School system
Which inculcates nothing
but instead robs us of
our savings

Indeed the well endowed
beautiful lady was wrong
to have uttered such words
But you and I aren't perfect
enough to judge her.

THE LIFE OF DELA is Out Now!!!

Wogb3j3k3
Our dreams were once extravagant
Respect for elders
at it's highest peak
The African culture
was so dear to youngins
Our ideas full of afrofuturism

We from the north, south
east and west
Dispensed like seeds all over
The Continent is infested with ideas
Priceless ideas is what we possess
Yet we swim in ignorance

Then our territory gets invaded
The white man becomes our guest
Little did we know
he had an agenda and was on a quest
Our precious stones exchanged
for that of the gunpowder

Suddenly the black redeemer
came to our rescue
We hailed him for a second
Accusing him of dictatorship
was a bloody excuse

The influx of foreign ideas
swept ours under the carpet
Our beautiful woven kente
traded for suit and tie.
Now, sex dolls are more preferable
than our well-endowed women

Indeed we come from afar
with no destination
but an aim for greed and selfishness
We abandoned our peaceful homes
to become slaves outside

But I still have memories
of our rich culture exhibited by kings
I still remember the stories told by
Maame Dorkonu when we
gathered by the fire side
I still recalled how I worried mama
to join my friends on kyekyekule
My childhood was amazing

We really have come
along way!

Sex sells faster than coke (Written By: Poet Dela)

What do you call happiness
Is it that feeling you get
When she gently uses her
tongue to tickle your Libido
Or

Is it when he also uses
his tongue to lick and tickle
that little piece of flesh on top
of your Cunt?

Again
Which do you prefer
Is it the satisfaction you get
When you consume a chilled
bottle of coke for lunch
Or

It's that amazing feeling
you experience when
the little bubbles which
are found in coke
runs down your throat

But wait!

Do we think of what
will happen BEFORE
a date?
Or AFTER a date?
Or

Do we really care
about the price of
a plate of rice at kempinski
or we get more concerned
about incurring the cost of
diapers for Life

These days
What really makes the headlines
Is it the increase and decrease
In the price of coke?
Or

The sextape which involves
not only our favorite celebrities,
but Ordinary well endowed citizens
As well.

Honestly
What do you think runs
through a guys head
When a girl or his crush
decides to pay him a visit

Is it how to rush to the
nearest Mart to purchase
a bottle of chilled coke
Or
Is it how to rush to the
nearest pharmacy to purchase
a condom for protection
incase knacking takes place

But can the health benefits
derived from having good
consensual sex in the morning
be compared to the nutritional value
found in coke, if there is any

Most marriages
Don't collapse because
of the unavailability of
the head to provide for the family
But the fact that
the lack of knacking
Is being experienced
like a drought

Even though coke
has alot of uses
One innovative way
women make good use of it
is using the bottle to satisfy their
sexual urges when there is the
unavailability of a cock

The taste of coke will always
remain the same
But the pleasure
derived from sex will always
take a different form
be it anal or casual

Indeed the idea of sex
sells faster than coke.

If Only She Knew ( Written by: Poet Dela) TRIBUTE TO THE 90'S BAD GIRL.

If only she knew
Her last  breath would elapse
Hours before day break
and also be the talk of town
And the fruits of her labour would reign
Longer than her era as
the 90's bad gyal

She would have stayed back home
And made more
Exclusive bangers
for the fans

If only she knew her demise
and lifeless body was going to be the agenda
She would have stayed back at Mama's place
And finished that
delicious plate of jollof

If only she knew
after being embrace
and welcomed by her family
The icy hands of death
was going to be the next to embraced her

If only she knew
She and death would
grace one stage
Dancing to her melodious Kupe

If only she knew
Haters along side well wishers
Would sing the RIP anthem all day
Despite the critics and backlashes

Yet still
No amount of poison
Could kill her zeal and determination
To leave an impact in her field

If only she knew
She was going to be late
she would have screamed
and given Aseda to her maker

If only she knew
Her funeral was going to be graced by
Music Lovers and sponsors
She wouldn't have embarked on such a journey

We would always
keep singing
That amazing chune she calls
Maame Hw3

Even though she never
Dated our Father's
To warrant
Such love

Rest In Power 90's Bad Gyal!
