Welcome to the world of creativity! Feast your eyes and enjoy!

A New Chapter (By: Poet Dela)

Being flipping through the pages
Trying to know what's old and new
New stories making the headlines
Old stories buried in the archives
Day in Day out
Creativity and innovation are being conceived
Hard work and zeal gets paid
Indeed goals and plans are made
But, realization becomes the headache.
Invest in your hard work
Be passion driven
Grind for the legal paper
And invest in your labour
The journey begins with a single step
Along the line
New characters are witnessed
New friends are made
Rivalry sets in
Pride, the Villain of the day
And new friendship bonded
Don't just make a change.
Impact the change!

Aseda (Written by: Poet Dela)

The 25th of december,2017 was a day to remember
LoloNyo was
Much anticipated

The best Christmas gift ever was from the Poetic Yesu
The compilation was for all my loyal readers especially you

The words and wisdom scribed with the ink
Would make you put on your thinking caps on
The warm reception in woe z)
Made she is my type and bitter truth Pierce your heart with a sword
Then Lolonyo indeed made us feel love
Whiles Gankui made you see the real definition of Love
But at the end of the day
Belike now here Cool made Lolonyo slay
Bigups to Reuben and Maame Agyeiwaa for the collaboration
To my proof readers I say Ayekoo
Mark made me put on my thinking cap
My gorgeous Angela made every line look dope
Jennifer and Priscilla, I say Mo! to your corrections.
To every soul that endorsed Lolonyo

To the bold and brave phyll
To the wordsmith Koo Kumi
To my ever glowing Sallycious Ohema
To the hommie Sosu

To Gino my brother from another mother

Gankui (by: Poet Dela)

My sight knows beauty no more
My eyes the architect of my misfortunes
My shades becomes part of my fortunes
I'm blinded by the rays of love

For a second
I thought I was lost
In a new world full of new laws
A world infested with lots  of beauty
I always gaze and zoom at their booty

Wait a minute...
I got betrayed by my extravagant glasses
Now all I view and see are lies
One of my senses gets tainted

Maybe I chose an oversized eyewear
A habitat belonging to germs
Now writings about love becomes distorted
And love at first sight becomes a mirage.

THE REAL HER

An era of beauty
Slowly perishes
A generation of
Indecent femines
Slowly emerges

Future mothers become
Future burdens
The pride of an African lady
Becomes obselete

Beauty without brains become rampant
Selfies, Likes and followers becomes relevant
Ohema facebooks instead of facing her books

She exposes her body on Instagram
Instead of exposing her intelligence
Snap chatting turns into a habit
She slowly becomes a phone addict

Parties, shows and concerts
becomes her interest
Cooking, praying and fellowships turns into her stress
She doubts her beauty
Just because her Instagram likes are just a few

Makeup and looks turns into a priority
Prayer and her books become her minority
After breakups
A soft heart becomes stone
An innocent soul becomes evil
And revenge turns into an aim

After the lust for material things
Dignity is lost
Self-esteem falls at it's lowest peak
And
Disgrace a companion

Ohema's new appearance
Amazes me
I guess
The real her has been traded
For something else.

THE NATURE OF THE BLIND (by: Tetteh Sackey X Poet Dela)

I woke up,
On an unknown time,
The world looked darkened to me,
I thought it was still late in the night,
I tried to get a little light to make me happy,

Rather,
Darkness smiled at me,
I was narked when it smiled to me,
Because I was the mzee around,
Hardily did I notice?
Blindness has hugged me,
Therefore I cried for help,

Because,
My new world was more darkened than my natural world,
My natural world was nebulous,
But now,
It is beyond that,
Oh people! Oh friends! Oh family!
I’m I now a stranger to my society?
I’m I now a rejected of my friends?

My sight becomes visionless
Destinations become mirages
Deprived to view
What nature offers
My senses loses a brother

I’m I not like you?
Why do we get such treatments?
Warders and wardresses are being assigned to confine us,
As if, we are prisoners,
You who think you are a world-beater,
Hear us! We form part of the world,
The world is incomplete without our presence,

We are given war-farin,
Not in the intention of treating thrombosis,
But,
We are likened to rats,
Arise oh strong, arise oh weak, arise oh humans,
For our living does not depend on you,

But,
A Mighty Hand,
We may be friends to darkness,
But are friends to a great light,
We may be blind but our senses work,
We may be sad but rivers of love flows within us,
We may be blind but are saved from the sins of the eyes,
Smile oh companions, smile oh friends,
We are always at the fore,
But,
Nobody notices us.

PEN GAME (by Poet Dela)

Out of a mess
Came a message
Out of my pen
Came an adage
An ink can either
create or destroy
It either scribes or floats
Reputations are slaves
to that ink

Out of a match comes
a scoreline
Out of my struggle comes a result
Success and failure
Casted in one dice
Words and expressions soaked
in an ink

At the sight of a pen
White papers get stained
My dark thoughts become inerasable
Knowledge and wisdom get scribed
Minds shiver at the sight of my tactics

If a pen can sketch a game
Then a game can as well mimic
a pen
If my pen scribes an average of
4500 words
Then my bag should be the second
national library.

but well
Doubters and naysayers
failed to admit that
I'M INDOMITABLE!

SALLYCIOUS OHEMA

The sight of her
Makes me believe
Black is beautiful ampa
Grandma always used to say
The beautiful ones are not yet born
But I get tempted to call her a liar
Anytime I see her
If beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder
Then I should be intoxicated by her beauty
Just because I'm a beerholder
Blessed with an amazing smile and well endowed
I stay glued to my window anytime I perceive her sweet perfume from afar
Her smiles keeps me motivated
Fingers crossed
Hoping she could be
Be My Woman one-day
The sound of her voice
Reminds me of Madonna
The sight of her lips makes me lick mine
Feeling how soft and sweet they are becomes a craving
Seeing her body sets mine on fire
The only remedy is getting close to hers
Hmmmm
What a feeling it would be
I get on my knees every evening
Praying she is Booless
So Sally could be my Ohema
My Sallycious Ohema I mean!
Love.

FAITH (Asore Ba) by Poet Dela

FAITH (ASORE BA)

Religion
Pride of a believer
Opium of the masses
Way of life

Purity reigns in the heart of a believer
Faith becomes the foundation of spiritual growth
With faith, mountains can be moved
Obstacles can be avoided

Bonds can be broken
And the impossible can realized
What baffles me is
Does being a believer mean you have faith?

Then who then is a believer?
A regular church goer?
Or
One who actively part takes in activities in
The Lord’s vineyard

Or
The individual who is a doer of the word?

Our society still has evil
Regardless of our believes
The Asore ba is well known
For donations to church projects

Participating massively in harvests
And even getting up to give offertory
From the first to the last
But in our society

The poor still remain poorer
The handicapped still remain in trouble
And the oppressed remain oppressed
Does the Asore ba take delight in seeing this?

What does the faith of the Asore ba teach?
What is the Asore ba also lacking?
Is the Asore ba lacking?
Teachings about giving widely?

Or
Morals?
Or he or she takes delight in seeing society poor.
For the seek of our faith and religion

Let giving be a habit
Humanity become a priority
Togetherness become an aim
And act according to the Lord’s word!

Negativity (by Poet Dela)

Success
Aim of a hustler
Reward of dedication
Merit of patience

Just as flies revolve
Around faeces
Success also draws
So many faces

Accompanied by the
Most powerful Monopoly
Fake and weird smiles
Come around to jolly

They sip with a
Bitter tongue
Intoxicated by
Finest Chunes

Their bad conscience gets interactive
Hate changes the taste of the wine
Envy draws comparison
Negativity is given birth to

HOGBETSOTSO ( Written by Poet Dela (Kasafraka) in honour of the history of the festival Hogbetsotso)

Togbe
Pride of the Anlo's
Custodian of a unique culture
Cherished by all

His wisdom emulated by all
The crown he wears, cherished by odds
His judgement respected and obeyed
His ways considered sacred

Tyrannical rule gave birth to betrayal
Dirty water was pured on the wall instead of the yard
Escaping became a motive
And subjects became scarce

Footsteps of ghosts became visible
Notsie was filled with silence
Anger became Agorkoli's companion
Freedom, the reward of the Anlo's

Unity of the Anlo's brought togetherness
Togetherness led to festivities
Festivities became remarkable with a dance
The dance mearnt for the hands.

RED FLAGS

At the sound of the gunshot
Athletes get on their tracks
Aiming to finish on time
And be victorious

In life, the gunshot
Signifies growth
Tracks mean a tough beginning
And the finish line signifies success or failure

A quicker start doesn’t assure success
Remember, the last to finish
Could achieve a desired ending
It’s never too late

The hustle gets tougher
When success knocks on the door
It has always been so
But don’t be discouraged

Just turn on the radio
Listen to some good melodies
Music is food for the soul
Boost your confidence

Put in your best
Don’t forget you are in a contest
Play to win
Never settle for less

The sight of the flag
Shows how much time you have left
Do your best
Never follow the rest

Conformity is suicidal
It can kill your dreams
Strive for change
Being ignorant is never an excuse

Shape your future
Work and push harder
Pray without ceasing
Learn more

Don’t wait for help
Initiate the move yourself
Follow your dreams
And God will see you through

Just Believe!

Blessed Be The Boys In Blueshirt

Pride of the catholic mission
Home to the clergy
A solid foundation for great people
Greatest male institution ever

Attainment of gold is a hobby
Achievement becomes a way of life
Success a goal
And togetherness a priority

Just as the blue sky
Remains a mystery
The magic in the blueshirt
Remains unknown

Masters’ in quizzes
Legends in sports
Uniform in dressing
And unique interms of strength

A brotherhood of peace
Blessed with excellent tutors
With a dedicated staff
Envied by all

Despite its distance
The stressful journey becomes an excursion
It geographical location remains unprecedented
Surrounded by so many human institutions

With discipline as a hallmark
And moral uprightness well emulated
The patron Saint keeps all Toms safe
Both old and young

The boys in the blueshirt
Will always remain united
And blessed
Hail Saint Thomas Aquinas!!!

THE FAMILY KNIGHT

The root of a giant tree
Branches depend on
A rock to stand on
The king of the jungle

The lion roars
At the sight of danger
The shield of the knight protects its people
Thickness of its roots builds a strong foundation

Not only for its branches,
But its leaves as well
The knight fights not for his life
But for the lives he shields

The battle field becomes his home
Wounds become a source of motivation
The sword his aid
Success and defeat his merits

At sunrise
He hears the daily mass
He prays for his own
The Quintain and Pell become a source of strength

Issues of warfare become his headache
He lives according to the chivalry rules
Time is spent on mastering the dance
The dance to the tune of death

His skills in horsemanship eases
The stressful journey
Hunting and hawking become a responsibility
Jugglers, acrobats, and jesters become his muse

At dusk
A toast to the family knight is made
A great feast is held
Prayers are said for him

In life
He is worth celebrating
And in death
He is remembered and emulated.

Cheers!!

TIME

Time is a Treasure
Time is not Inheritable
Time waits for no Man
Time isn’t static, it Evolves

Good use of time merits success
Efficient use of time merits achievements
Time loss means loss of money
And time gained means lots of money

Time is a phenomenon
Watches and clocks project this phenomenon
Inefficient use of this phenomenon
Leads to not only loss of cash
But lives as well

Funny enough, Time isn’t bought
But watches and clocks are
No one can control time
Yet still clocks are rested

Watches and clocks get damaged
But time never stops
The Blackman’s time differs
From that of a Whiteman’s

Even a fellow blacks time
Wouldn’t match another’s time
Same applies to
The light skinned man

What baffles me is
We all own and have both clocks and watches
From the Rolex’s to the Quartz’s
But still allow time to beat us

Time elapses in our businesses
In our examinations
In our churches and
Even in our homes

Its time
We stick to the principle
‘’Time Waits For No Man’’

SACRIFICE

For 273 days
she carried a heavy load
Enduring all the pain and mood swings alone
the unbearable pain during childbirth
Harbouring the fear of loosing not only her life
but of the amazing gift in her womb
The cutting of the cord that links mother and child
Special cases would require opening of the womb
A mother sleeps only when her offspring knows rest
A mother without a spouse goes to bed with the thought of
how to provide tomorrows porridge
The harsh economy could make her sell what she values alot
The worst could make her plead for alms
A fortunate mother with her spouse
would provide the best basic necessities
A balance meal at night must be assured by ”Dela Maame”
With no help and support from relations
she goes through motherhood with stress
When the school fees, rent and utility bills arrive
the burden of survival lays on her shoulders alone
She sacrifices all she has to see Dela through
the demanding school system
Under the burning sun she remained
Hoping tomato buyers approach her table
Proceeds from her toils gets swallowed
by the stressful school system
Tears run down her cheeks
anytime her offspring is sent home from school
The fear of a misleading future for her offspring is harboured
But determination becomes her friend
and prayer for success for her offspring becomes an anthem
Her tears, toils and sacrifices finally pays off
Mama’s dreams of training her offspring in the faith
and the right way is attained!
This is realized when success knocks on her door
AYEKOOOO to all mothers!
God richly bless you!

MUSIC (Food For The Soul)

Music is blood that runs through the veins of a lyricist
Music is that sound that doesn’t live in the heart of a racist
Melodies that puts the soul at rest is music
These melodies brings joy which the soul cannot resist
A human who makes good use of wordplay full of good melodies is called a rapper
Don’t mistake this for someone who produces and aims for legal paper
A good voice which echoes powerful melodies is termed as a vocalist
An interview with such an amazing talent would require a stylist
Rap, RnB, Reggae & Country music’s are all termed as genres
You can enjoy any of such sweet genres even under the hot sun rays
Music is food for the soul
So feed it before it goes sour!

HAND DEY GO, HAND DEY COME (RECIPROCITY)

Life is full of the give and take theory

Disappointments always comes with
the word "sorry"

Businesses aim for profit

Loses can either make you learn
or forfeit

Your back gets scratched
and you scratch back

A typical example of reciprocity
happens in the bank

They always say, what you sow
is what you reap

Bad investments end up making
you weep

Use what you have to get
what you want

Becareful not to lose your dignity,
Just make every venture worth

Here on earth, favours are returned

Passion would make you want to
Intern

Parent's investments need results

Failing Mum and dad would call
for insults

Giving brings a lot of benefits

Stinginess can lead to your death!

JUSTICE FOR MAHAMA

An innocent soul has being hurt
The life of a great warrior sorrowfully ends
Wasted is the life of a brave heart
For selfish reasons he died unlawfully

He was a victim of their evil intentions
Their unlawfully motives led to the death of a father
Not to talk about the pain
his beloved wife is about to go through

She has being tasked with a difficult task
Where is daddy?
Where is our father?
These are questions she would have to answer

Tears now become her companion
Memories become her nightmares
Up bring of her offspring becomes her burden
And loneliness comes to stay permanently

Justice must prevail
Culprits must be jailed
And family my must be consoled
Compensation wouldn't be enough

But justice would certainly bring some ease
Hope our leaders have not turned a deaf ear
to such a tragedy
Here is the time to make their presence felt

MAXWELL ADAM MAHAMA's soul deserves Justice now!
Rest In Peace our dear brother.
