THE SUPPORT YOUR OWN SYNDROME (Written By: Poetic Dela)

If the clouds should gather
we all know the showers of
blessings it brings
When the strong winds
approach
we are all supposed to
think about the ship
about to sink

They say there is blessing
in giving
But in these parts
we believe in hating
and envy other than
supporting

Apart from envy
which they claim to
hate
The HE is not my own
symptom
occurs as a result of the
reaction between
less progression and jealousy
Not leaving out the
"What Do I Stand To Gain" virus

As hard as our folks work
we prefer not to see the magic
they create but rather click
on links leading to nudes
or huge asses that twerk

I sometimes wonder how
we understand this phrase
"Support Your Own"
I'm made to believe we
all concord with the fallacy
about "Support" always
being in the positive state

Most of the cliques (so called families)
we belong to worry about
"your" input to the selfish course
other than "your" progression

Do we really care about
our "Own" or what we "Own"

What baffles me is
if we would eradicate
the dogmatic tendencies
of blueticking messages
requesting for support
from family or the silly
use of unnecessary emoji's
just to fake love

The writings and paintings
on the wall are so clear
Even if my cheeks and eyes
are soaked in tears
None of them will care

This poem was mearnt
to be short
but sorry, I had to
inject this shots into you

DUM DUM (Written By: Poetic Dela)

Just like lightening
It strikes
It pays a visit to every
household
With no invitation

It never gets welcomed
Just because its comes
with no good
It destroys food stuffs
Especially refrigerated ones

House hold appliances
end up blowing up
Crumbled dresses
remain crumbled
Studies and homework’s
remain unattempted
Peaceful sleeps become
heatful sleeps

The hot condition indoors
Persuade man to seek
natural air
Mosquitoes become
man’s companion
And armed robbery
becomes rampant

Cash is being wasted
on fuel and diesel
A quiet environment
becomes noisy courtesy
The generator
Citizen’s rain curses
on the government

And also on the energy
company
Demonstrations and
vigils become useless
They sweet talk the people
And procrastinate promises

O! Then the lights
comes back
Man is always ready
for another a black out

Dumsor  Must End Now!
