She was wrong to choose
Money over her pride
and traded her dignity
over riches
She was wrong to have
sold the Lord's temple
out to wealthy and
pot belled landlords
She was wrong to have
washed her dirty clothes
at the sea
whilst she could
have used the river
She was wrong to have
disregarded feminism
and harboured the idea
of dependency
She was wrong to have
disrespected the rich
Ghanaian Culture
we hold in high esteem
Yes she was wrong
to have committed
all those atrocities
But wait
Who do we blame here?
Is it our dear country
which is rich in precious metals
yet rated underdeveloped
by these same white men
who once invaded our territories
Or we should play the blame game
with our selfish leaders who
only care about how heavy
their pockets are
even though we gave
them such authority
Do we put the blame on
our stressful and demanding
School system
Which inculcates nothing
but instead robs us of
our savings
Indeed the well endowed
beautiful lady was wrong
to have uttered such words
But you and I aren't perfect
enough to judge her.
Poetic Yesu.
