The Supa Striker (Poetry Written By: Poetic Dela)

The Cheers! The Chants! The Euphoria!
we experience, is made possible by
beauty of the game

The Skills! The Strength! The Goals!
we see are made possible by The Supa Striker

Some call him the "King of goals"
Others call him the "Goal Machine"
I call him "The Supa Striker"
How do you call him?

Yes! He is The Supa Striker just because
of his amazing skills on the ball
and how beautifully he makes goals easy

Yes! The Supa Striker just because
of how humble he is
and good looking as well

But these are words one would
see as praises to The Supa Striker
years back

But today, these words
represent tributes to The Supa Striker
Yes!
The Supa Striker has embarked on a journey
of no return
A journey to a world where
Tears are no more
Hunger, non-existent
and pain, dead!

He suffered in his last days on earth
Now he will smile in eternity

Manuel!
You were the Blackstar during the tournament
way back in 2008
Even though you could not turn 80
You will be idolized till your 18th generation

Journey well Legend!

Tears,
Poetic Yesu.

After God Fear Woman (Written by: Poetic Dela)

Mothers call them daughters
Friends refer to them as Girlfriends
Husbands call them their wives
How do you call them?

I know you wonder not
whom I aim at describing
But hey, their description
may be very misguiding

Because to one person
they are one of the most
 beautiful things
God has ever created
but to another, they just
give an escort

They say, " behind every
successful man there is a woman"
but some say
"behind every "suck-sex-feel"
smile on a man's face, there is a woman

Oh yes!
If we could see the actual face
behind those make-ups, then we
wouldn't have to employ the services
of lenses

If we could tell the actual motive
behind some messages in our dms,
then we wouldn't have
several unread messages

If they should have the patience
to listen to us when conflict
sets in,
then there would be no need for
drama on social media, then

and ohh...,
 if they could show
us to the world
then "Trust" wouldn't be a word
for the gods

But wait!
If we can control our sexual urges
at the sight of big ‘asses’ and ‘boobs’
on social media
then there be no need for
issues relating to insecurity

If we could appreciate the small naturally
gifted and good looking ‘boobs’ and ‘ass’
as well
then there will be no need for knives

If we can appreciate them and see
them as goddesses
and blaspheme for them
then there would be no need
for a Side Ni99a

Yes we can!
We can also expect less from them
and avoid blueticks and heartbreaks
We can come out real and truthful
and avoid disses and heartaches

But don't blame us!
Blame the generation before us

Oh yes because
they made the union
of a man and woman look like
a bed of roses

They made having kids look so easy
even though we never witnessed how
they did it
We only saw the visuals on
the internet

But let's look at this
We came into this world through
them
We had good nutrition with the aid
of their breasts

If we put aside the motive
of going back into the hole we came from
and the aim of feeling every nipple we see
then they will feel appreciated and loved

Trust will be constant
Love will be the solid foundation
Hope will be the discussion
and happiness the goal

if they also put aside
a bit of the filters on snap,
 tone down the makeup,
 reduce the telenovelas and
soap operas
and also the craze for likes and followers

Then the popular saying
 AFTER GOD FEAR WOMAN will
tasteth good on every lip

It's all love.

The Faceless (Written by Wireko Philip)

     THE FACELESS:(Written By Wireko Philip)

It was a cold night,
One could hear the
Wind whistle as the tracks,
Made a subtle noise.
Looked out the window, nothing
but darkness as far as the eye could see.
Then the scene changed,
There's children's paintings soaked,
Guns in a borne fire, with faceless people
Gathered round.
All but one board the train, and
Slits his throat before wished good bye.
Bloodshot eyes of the faceless,
And their pale white skin, all sat in silence. The train moved faster,
Back to the past it did.
It was Johnson, the slit throat.
Soaked in blood, for he mourns.
He takes the train back, armed to the teeth. Every one but the faceless survive,
For the best revenge is to live in guilt,
And to die from the inside.

FEAR AWAY (Written By: Poetic Dela X Cormla Poet)

FEAR AWAY (Written by: Poetic Dela X Cormla Poet)

CORMLA POET

Everytime I close my eyes,
a constant stream of
rhythmic memories
A cold, frosty penuriousness
held in dark relentless fate
Vespers cover my deepest thoughts,
My bones are not strong
but I run, i strive with my all
No inspiration, to talk of motivation.
No rise or fall
Fear like a day monotonous
and colorless, the inability to succeed
Fear away! I want a new marvel of sky!

POETIC DELA

...oh yes!
I feel the heat my heart succumbs
to at the sight of the future
These days, my face knows joy
no more,
wondering if that could be nature

Even with the alleged depletion of the
Ozone layer
these hands and feets still endures the
cold nights nature has to offer

I yearn for cheers more than tears
Now the weight of both family and
peers has being left on both my shoulders
and chest
I wish I could retire on an island
or get swallowed by this cursed earth

or better still
embrace this beast
and make it a pet!

THE SUPPORT YOUR OWN SYNDROME (Written By: Poetic Dela)

If the clouds should gather
we all know the showers of
blessings it brings
When the strong winds
approach
we are all supposed to
think about the ship
about to sink

They say there is blessing
in giving
But in these parts
we believe in hating
and envy other than
supporting

Apart from envy
which they claim to
hate
The HE is not my own
symptom
occurs as a result of the
reaction between
less progression and jealousy
Not leaving out the
"What Do I Stand To Gain" virus

As hard as our folks work
we prefer not to see the magic
they create but rather click
on links leading to nudes
or huge asses that twerk

I sometimes wonder how
we understand this phrase
"Support Your Own"
I'm made to believe we
all concord with the fallacy
about "Support" always
being in the positive state

Most of the cliques (so called families)
we belong to worry about
"your" input to the selfish course
other than "your" progression

Do we really care about
our "Own" or what we "Own"

What baffles me is
if we would eradicate
the dogmatic tendencies
of blueticking messages
requesting for support
from family or the silly
use of unnecessary emoji's
just to fake love

The writings and paintings
on the wall are so clear
Even if my cheeks and eyes
are soaked in tears
None of them will care

This poem was mearnt
to be short
but sorry, I had to
inject this shots into you

DUM DUM (Written By: Poetic Dela)

Just like lightening
It strikes
It pays a visit to every
household
With no invitation

It never gets welcomed
Just because its comes
with no good
It destroys food stuffs
Especially refrigerated ones

House hold appliances
end up blowing up
Crumbled dresses
remain crumbled
Studies and homework’s
remain unattempted
Peaceful sleeps become
heatful sleeps

The hot condition indoors
Persuade man to seek
natural air
Mosquitoes become
man’s companion
And armed robbery
becomes rampant

Cash is being wasted
on fuel and diesel
A quiet environment
becomes noisy courtesy
The generator
Citizen’s rain curses
on the government

And also on the energy
company
Demonstrations and
vigils become useless
They sweet talk the people
And procrastinate promises

O! Then the lights
comes back
Man is always ready
for another a black out

Dumsor  Must End Now!

I'm Madly In Lust With You (Written By: Poetic Dela)

"Cupcake, I really adore you.
I cherish and love you more
than myself"
He said that few weeks ago

One thing he admitted
was the imitation of
the life of a spendthrift
The transfer of airtime
through MOMO
and the making of
long video calls
through data
sucking networks

Though peers can attest
to the fact that He isn't
a Bulu
Or He being under the
influence of any Voodoo
We all can guess the type
of black magic he will employ
Anytime she decides
to walk away.

This Juju will contain powers
that can make the girl he once
adored and said those sweet and
amazing words to in verse One
suck him so hard on the stairs at
the last floor in his flat.

The Black Magic from
the Mallam will make Her
visit him every weekend
so they knack so hard
to the extent of her leaving
her G-string on the
dinning table.

Who do you blame?
Is it the extraordinary
Sense of humor he had
which made him
 not realize all the
danger he was attracting.

Or
We blame the amazing
but yet deceitful smile
she showed anytime
they meet at the Coffee Shop.

Now all the elements of
love has being stained with
Pain
Love, traded for lust.

I remember before His
absurd love story started
He struggled to say
"I'm In Love With You"
but now
Without any remorse
or element of pity
He is bold enough to
say
"I'm Madly In Lust With You"

Poetic Yesu.
